Depression

Depression feels like suffocation; you cannot breathe when there’s no oxygen. Depression feels like suffocation; you’re locked inside your own mind and all you know is your thoughts and feelings. Depression feels like suffocation; you’re trapped inside a black room and it’s so dark you cannot find the door.

But you do not have to suffocate forever; the oxygen is there, the mind can be tackled and the door does exist.

Fight. Believe. You can do this.

Depression isn’t forever.

I believe in you. You are not alone. We are not alone.

  1. This is such a beautiful site. As a psychology major, it is so important to me that people see mental health in a new light and I love everything about your blog. You’re doing some great work.

    • This means so much to me! Thank you very much. 🙂 the power and influence of the mind is something that intrigues me very much and it also makes me want to change the stigma many people attach to it. Thank you! 🙂

  2. Reblogged this on Speaking Volumes and commented:
This is a fantastic blog to follow whether you are looking for some encouragement or you are like me and are always looking for ways to promote positive mental health. The beautiful words written on this blog are raw, blunt, and encouraging. It tickles my soul to see such great work being done in the mental health world.
