All-or-nothing thinking is one of those things those suffering with depression, for instance, do and believe it to be the norm. With us the middle does not exist, if we were to write a story it would probably consist of the beginning and the ending. The narrative doesn’t exist. The balance doesn’t exist. Things are either amazing or horrendous. We are either madly in love or filled with vengeful hate. People either love us or loathe us. Let’s create the scale.
We forget and we ignore the importance of balance and that it does exist. So if you ever feel yourself thinking in an all-or-nothing manner draw out the scales and apply your life to it, then add in the balance and adapt your life, emotions or thoughts to it.
